"Betty, There are no words to describe the feeling that came over me when I unrolled the prints. It was almost as if I was actually standing next to the soldier praying in the field. They are absolutely beautiful - I still have goose-bumps from viewing them. After sending this email off I will be leaving my home to take them to be mounted. As I said before, one is a surprise for my husband to decorate his office aboard Camp Lejeune where he's a therapist for Marines and Sailors returning with PTSD, TBIs and other psychiatric problems. The other will eventually be donated to the Jewish Chapel here at Camp Lejeune in memory of my father who served 30 years with the Marines. Again, thank you so much for such an outstanding picture!"

Short-Term Solution-Focused Telephonic Consultation
Whether it's help with child care, money matters, emotional support during deployments, relocation information, or referrals to helpful resources both on and off an installation, Military OneSource is there for military personnel and their families 24/7. In an effort to further increase access to support, Military OneSource now offers Short-term Solution-Focused Telephonic (STSF-T) Consultation. While referrals to non-medical face-to-face counseling sessions continue for those stationed in United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, the new expanded service provides a telephonic consultation option for those who are unable to attend face-to-face counseling sessions due to their overseas location or other circumstances.
Both the STSF-T Consultation and the face-to-face counseling sessions may help individuals with many issues such as: adjustment to situational stressors, stress management, decision making, communication, grief and loss, blended family issues, and parenting skills. As with face-to-face counseling, STSF-T provides up to six sessions of consultation per person, per issue.
There are some differences between face-to-face counseling and STSF-T Consultation. Because STSF-T Consultation is provided over the phone, it is not appropriate for children under the age of 18, complex issues, and situations that require a group setting (couples and family counseling). Other issues that exceed the scope of STSF-T include drug, alcohol and other addictions; mental health conditions that require medical treatment (post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, bipolar disorder, etc.); and other conditions related to trauma. The STSF-T Consultation is not appropriate as part of a patient's Medical Treatment Facility discharge plan.
Military OneSource is available anytime worldwide to all active duty, Reserve, National Guard members, their families, as well as deployed civilians and their families.

There is an Air National Guard Jewish Chaplain, Rabbi Yaakov Bindell, based for the summer at CENTAF Forward and would love to support you with his presence no matter where in the AOR you might happen to be. Rabbi Bindell is an energetic and personable young Orthodox rabbi and I can't imagine that you wouldn't enjoy a visit from him. But for the CENTAF chaplain to let him visit you, a request must be generated from YOUR end. Therefore, he has asked me to help him locate any personnel in the AOR who may be interested. If this is you, or someone you know, please put in a request. (If you're at an Air Force installation, have your Wing Chaplain contact the CENTAF command chaplain at the CAOC; if you're at an Army/Navy/USMC base, please direct your request through your local senior chaplain to the CENTAF chaplain, probably through your own service's channels.)

Sovereign of the Universe! We invoke your blessings upon the members of our American military forces, those brave men and women whose courage and commitment to that for which this country stands protects us all.
Whether by air, land or sea, wherever their orders take them, we ask, dear God, that they be protected within your sheltering presence. Shield them from harm and from pain, assuage their loneliness, and sustain their faith in the face of the formidable enemies that they confront on a daily
basis. May all of their efforts be crowned with victory, and the assurance that we who depend on their courage appreciate and understand the great difficulty of their work.
Most of all, we pray what for all soldiers is the ultimate prayer- that they be privileged to return to the loving arms of their families and a grateful country safely, speedily, and in good health.
