The Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson OBM, launched the historic Tefillin Campaign - the first of the Rebbes ten Mitzvah Campaigns - at the height of the pre-
Israeli Six-Day War crisis. It is particularly important that men in the
military fulfill the commandment of donning Tefillin
as the observance of the mitzvah of Tefillin
brings protection. Ever since the campaign began, hundreds of thousands of Jews
put on Tefillin worldwide as a result every
year.
We are extremely pleased
to inform you of a new worldwide Mitzvah Tefillin
incentive - the YAAKOV & CHANA WEINBAUM TEFILLIN
BANK.
Initiated by The Shul of Bal Harbour, Florida, led by Rabbi Sholom D. Lipskar, the YAAKOV
& CHANA WEINBAUM TEFILLIN BANK will offer a new dimension and scope to the
existing Tefillin campaign.
Established in
conjunction with The Shluchim Office, the Tefillin Bank will offer a free pair of Tefillin ($250.00 value) to any Jewish male (that can
confirm biological mother was born Jewish) who does not already own his own
kosher pair of Tefillin. Each recipient must commit to
put on Tefillin every single day from the day they
receive the new Tefillin (Sunday through
Friday excluding Jewish holidays). All requests will be handled by The Aleph Institute.
